A very sweet treat - homemade caramels
One of my favorite souvenir gifts is the box of Maldon Salt my mother-in-law brought back from England. For months I planned to make salted caramels and finally I found a good recipe (read easy) from Ina Garten and had some time with my toddler away from the kitchen. Boiling hot caramel and a little boy do not mix and I do not need to learn that the hard way.
