Love those leeks
The garden is wrapping up for the season and one of our last crops is leeks. I love substituting mild, silky leeks for onions where I can, whether it’s in quiche, soups, or, most recently, braising a lamb shank. Often, shanks are so small that you really need one for each person, but the last time I bought a full leg and had it cut down, the shank was big enough for both me and my husband....
